Job Description

This role requires a proactive individual with ambition and a passion for developing people along with a can-do attitude and a desire to deliver and pass on knowledge within the Health & Social Care sector. As a self-motivator who has a wide range of experience as a practitioner, the post holder will be confident and have the ability to work on their own initiative.

Main Duties

Assess candidates on agreed RQF programmes in the candidates workplace in accordance with internal and external quality standard
– Visiting learners in the workplace and assessing / tutoring them in their qualification
– Conducting assessment needs of learners and provide appropriate information, advice, teaching and learning relevant to the individual
– Monitor and review candidates progress on a regular basis and set appropriate targets throughout their learning journey
– Maintaining documentation on learners and portfolios
– Working within the allotted hours for the each candidates award
– Building and developing relationships with employers
– Planning and implementing initial assessments and course reviews with learners
– Working closely with / taking direction from verifiers and management.
– Attending quarterly standardisation meetings to maintain standards
– Hold an A1 assessors qualification or equivalent
– Have proven experience in a similar role – Have a clean enhanced DBS
– Minimum of a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
– Experience working in either a management or supervising role
– Leadership and management skills
– Experience working in the care industry
– A passion for social care and health care excellence
– Excellent Communication skills – Good IT skills
– Commitment to your own professional development
– Good organisational skills It is also essential that you are able to work independently and can manage your own time.

Desirable
– Hold a teaching qualification (PTTLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert ED)
– Hold a V1 verifiers qualification or equivalent
